Steve Davies has been providing celebrity and executive risk management services on a global basis for over 28 years. He has served with the British Military for 9 ½ years and upon completion of his service he worked for a UHNWI family in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, Steve provided celebrity protection (risk management) services for “A” list actors and production companies when filming in Asia.
Steve moved to Toronto, Canada in 1990 and has worked throughout North America for executives of Fortune 500 corporations and their family members. His roster includes celebrities, dignitaries and members of Royalty when visiting and residing in Canada. His main focus is providing the Focus One Group clients with “peace of mind” thus developing a trusting relationship with the clients.
Lorenzo Robert Savage III, a native of Herndon, Virginia, has been the Chief Executive Officer of a private security company in Beverly Hills, California, since his retirement from the United States Secret Service in April 2018.
Mr. Savage was appointed to the Senior Executive Service as the Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Office in July 2015. His leadership responsibilities included the overall protective and investigative missions of the United States Secret Service within the Los Angeles area. This district including three Resident Offices in Santa Ana, Riverside, and Ventura, is the 3rd largest of the 42 U.S. Secret Service Field Offices.
During his career, Mr. Savage rose through the ranks, having begun his Secret Service career in 1993 as a special agent assigned to the Washington Field Office. He has since served in numerous managerial assignments which include: Assistant Special Agent in Charge – Los Angeles Field Office 2012-2014; Assistant Special Agent in Charge – Dignitary Protective Division 2010-2012; Assistant Special Agent in Charge – Las Vegas Field Office 2007-2010; Assistant Inspector – Inspection Division 2006 2007; and Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division 2004-2006. Mr. Savage’s law enforcement career began in 1988 where he was employed as an honors intern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Subsequently, while employed by the Fairfax County, Virginia Police Department for three years, Mr. Savage held the position of uniformed patrol officer in the Mason District and West Springfield District Stations. He has received numerous citations of merit as well as public service and law enforcement awards.
Karen Kelly-Woolcock has been involved in the Hospitality and Event Sector for over 20 years. While maintaining a full-time Account Executive career, she owned and managed an Event Planning company and an Independent Record Label. No stranger to multi-tasking, in 2016, Karen launched fully into the Hospitality business with her own company, providing Travel Logistics and Event Management Services to international Business Travelers.
Over the past 7 years, Karen has worked with a variety of VIP clientele from across the globe. She has facilitated groups of four to over four-thousand in the planning and execution of their business travel agenda’s by providing much needed Logistics Management. Her services range from Event Planning and Management, VIP, and Dignitary Care to arranging Translators, Meeting Space, and Private Jets. Her clients are primarily referred by the various Consulates, Embassies, Trade Offices, and Executives familiar with, and confident in the services provided.
Hatem Amin has more than 25 years of experience in Security, Special Operations, Investigations and VIP Protection Operations.
From 1991 to 2006 Hatem served the Egyptian Ministry of Interior as a police officer in different departments such as Interior Investigation, Special Operations and VIP Protection. During his service in the police, Hatem participated and led hundreds of high-risk special operation and protection.
Hatem supervised and led a large number of police officers during his service in the MOI and managed a vast amount of equipment and budget. After the 9/11 attack in New York in 2001, Hatem was nominated to lead the protection team for the U.S.. Ambassador until 2006 where he was chosen to join the Bureau of Diplomatic Security in the embassy of the United States of America in Cairo as a security and protection specialist.
During his work for the U.S.. embassy in Cairo, Hatem acted as the main security and protection liaison between the U.S.. embassy and the Egyptian government and he participated in high-profile protection operations such as the President of the United States, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Congress Leaders, Senators and Dignity Leaders.
David Batey has been in the travel industry for over 40 years. During his multi-faceted career, he has held senior management roles within the airline, representation, hotel, and corporate travel segments, where held responsibility for multi-million-dollar budgets and revenue. He has also been a college instructor where he was able to impart his knowledge on second year students who were about to enter the travel industry.
He brings a wealth of experience to Focus One Group and is quite adept in conveying his familiarity with “Duty of Care” and ISO 31030, which provides a structured approach to the development, implementation, evaluation and review of a travel risk management policy and programme, as well as an assessment and treatment of travel risks. David is accustomed to managing “C level” relationships with prominent companies globally.
He has been a speaker to over four hundred attendees at a global travel industry conference and maintains non travel industry relationships within the legal, banking, winery, and film production industries.
